Sir,

Any pension of £82. 10.0 per annum which I have been drawing has long been inadequate. I beg to apply for such an increase as will bring it up to its equivalent in normal times. In the period of war and with the abnormal conditions under which we are all living now, it is still more inadequate.

I feel sure you will give this matter your earnest attention and will realise that circumstances have arisen which could never have been contemplated when framing the pension scale. As to details, I need not enter, as the facts are, no doubt, already known to you, but if desired to do so, I am prepared to furnish all the information you may require.

I may add that the state of my health is, and has been since my retirement, such as to prevent me from taking up any remunerative occupation. I am greatly devoted to nursing, to which I have been greatly devoted, and for no other reason, in order to supplement my very slender income.
